Archiipedia is a directory marketplace. Some of what you see is paid placement. We believe you have a right to know which is which — this disclosure explains how advertising and sponsored listings work on the Platform.
1. What “Sponsored” Means
A Sponsored listing is one where the business has paid for additional visibility — for example a higher position in search results, placement on a category or city page, or a slot on the homepage. Sponsored placements are clearly labelled with a “Sponsored” badge wherever they appear, so you can always tell paid placement apart from organic results.
2. Paying for Visibility Does Not Buy a Verification or a Review
This is the most important point. Payment buys visibility — nothing else:
- Every listing on Archiipedia — sponsored or not — goes through the same KYC verification. A “Verified” badge reflects that check, never a payment.
- Ratings and reviews are never influenced by whether a business pays us. We do not edit, remove or reorder genuine reviews in exchange for payment.
- A sponsored listing is not an endorsement or a recommendation of that business by Archiipedia.
3. “Featured”, “Trending” and Editorial Picks
Sections such as “Featured Listings”, “Trending This Month” and “Hand-picked” are curated by our editorial team based on factors such as ratings, portfolio quality and activity. Where any such placement is paid, it will additionally carry the “Sponsored” label.
4. No Commission on Your Project
Archiipedia does not take any commission or success fee on projects, quotes or contracts agreed between homeowners and professionals. Our revenue comes from listing subscriptions and the sponsored placements described here — see our Pricing page.
5. Advertising Standards
Sponsored content and advertising on the Platform is identified as such in line with applicable advertising and consumer-protection norms, including the guidelines of the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI). If you believe a placement is misleading or is not properly disclosed, please tell us and we will review it.
